Navigator is a cardiovascular care system for circulatory management of critically ill patients. Navigator acquires raw data from conventional monitoring devices, computes the volume and heart performance states (unique to Navigator) and transforms the data into an innovative graphical display. The touch screen display enables clinicians to enter therapy goals against which the patient’s status is presented. Applications include any situation in which resuscitation, stabilization and optimization of hemodynamic and oxygen metabolism is required, including ICU, OR and emergency medicine. A successful multi-centre randomised controlled trial of the safety and effectiveness of the Navigator system has been completed.
